  • Infants should ALWAYS be put to sleep on their backs unless (advised otherwise by your pediatrician) and never in an adult bed especially a water bed.

  • Remove plush toys, quilts, comforters, etc. out of the crib for infants under the age of one.

  • Bumper pads should fit snug and be removed from the crib once your child can pull him/herself up.   Also, crib slats should be no more than 2 3/8 inches apart.

  • Never leave your child unattened on the changing table and make sure to keep all items you need for a diaper change within arms reach.

  • Use nightlights with a safety covering as traditional nightlights can be easily broken or removed which can be extremely dangerous.

  • Never put wall hangings over cribs, if pulled down it could become a smothering hazard.

  • Mobiles should be removed from over the crib once your child is pulling him/herself up.

  • To prevent tall and heavy furniture from tipping attach it wall studs using approved strapping.
